ah…just what I was looking for!
I’ve been scurrying around in my room, in search for my Architectural Design note book which I used during my first year at Uni. It had some detailed diagrams illustrating ergonomic design in relation to the human body.
Thank goodness I managed to come across this one!
The tough night is now slightly better.

The Sketchbook Project.
For all you creative creatures out there…
Flatiron Building, or Fuller Building, as it was originally called, is located at 175 Fifth Avenue in the borough of Manhattan, New York City.
An intriguing building on an intriguing site.
A definite favorite despite having only seen it in text books…
One day, I will visit the Big Apple…

And…another amazing transformable apartment by Christian Schallert.
This project is being dubbed as the “Lego Apartment’.
In the video, Schallerts says, “if you want it, you need to make it” - just like lego =)
Furthering on with my research on ‘How furniture can define space?’ Gary Chang is one of my favourite ‘compact design’ extraordinaires! This video presents one of his projects in Hong Kong, which he has dubbed as ‘Domestic Transformer’. Hong Kong, as well as many other dense urban cities, are heavily populated and lack space. As result, space is more valued and precious. On the contrary, Australia has an abundance of land which is often…wasted or mistreated. These kind of projects really intrigue me. I’ve been brought up to not ‘waste’ things, whether it be food, clothes, money etc etc… I think this kind of up bringing has moulded my way of designing. Space, should be appreciated and not wasted.
