27 07 11 - Healing Gardens
I have selected an elective called ‘Facilities for Social Sustainability’ for this semester.
What instantly attracted me towards this option was the fact that it is a real project which is funded.
I believe it is hugely important for students to be exposed to real life scenarios during their studies. Sadly, I don’t think it happens enough.
I’ve started to research on the topic of ‘Healing Gardens’ and so far, it has been rather interesting. The concept of healing gardens seems to focus on reconnecting people back to nature and the importance of appreciating what nature has to offer.
I am merely skimming the tip of the iceberg here.
There is lots more to be researched and understood.
In time, my knowledge and understanding of the concept of ‘Healing Gardens’ should develop and by then, I will hopefully have something more substantial to share.
For now, a short briefing on Healing Gardens.
